Craig Lowe got more votes, but he's not mayor-elect just yet. Lowe's margin of victory over Don Marsh - just 35 votes - was so slim in Tuesday's runoff that the voting will automatically go to a recount.
Ed Braddy, a former city commissioner and a conservative talk radio host, insinuated that Lowe's campaign stole some votes.
Though city elections are nonpartisan, Braddy called on the Republican Party of Florida to send representatives to oversee the recount process, saying, "We know what happens on the left. We know they cheat. They've done this in other elections before. Out of 12,000 votes, I would not be surprised that there are 35, 36, maybe 50, maybe 100 votes that should not have been tabulated that were."
